Fill in the personality and appearance fields as specifically as you can. "Energetic" gives Scout very little to work with. "Runs at full speed into every wall she has ever encountered and seems proud of it" gives him everything he needs to find a name that really fits.

Yes -- use the "Draw inspiration from" field and type in whatever fandom, mythology, or cultural theme you have in mind. Norse mythology, Studio Ghibli, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, ancient Egypt -- Scout will draw from it.
What if my pet is a mix or unusual breed?
